RINSING THE MEDIUM
After the desired exposure time, rinse off the cyanotype solution from the paper using tap water.
You will immediately see the reaction from the unexposed solution washing away and the oxidized cyanotype solution setting as different levels of blue, depending on the level of light let through by the negative.
Washing the developed image in a washing soda bath (bleaching), and toning it using tea, adds a deeper brown color that replaces the blues.
